All About Chess is happy to be back In Person for a Winter Chess session at Sunset Elementary. Sunset has an amazing program and I am really excited for another great year. The class will be tailored to the ability of the students so any skill level is welcome. A typical class begins with a practice game then a focused lesson on a particular topic to be covered that week. Then, depending on the week, students practice what they have been learning with games against their peers, play fun variant chess games, solve puzzles, and learn check mate patterns. Sportsmanship is stressed throughout. Another theme of the class is thinking about our actions and making good choices. We will be following all of the District and State’s covid-19 protocols.
UPDATE: Wednesday class is full but adding a Thursday class.
Due to demand we are adding a Thursday Chess Class at Sunset Elementary. The class will meet afterschool in Flex Space A from 3:40pm-4:40pm. It will be a 10 week session.
