Newcastle Elementary Spring Chess Class

UPDATE: There was a scheduling problem with the last class so we are moving up the start date to next Tuesday May 2nd. If you cannot make that date we will refund you for the missed class. Sorry for the trouble, we just wanted to let everyone get 5 classes in before the school year ends. Thanks for understanding.

All About Chess is excited to be hosting a chess class on Tuesdays this spring at
Newcastle Elementary. We will meet before school from 8:00-9:05am in room 162.
A typical class begins with a practice game followed by a focused lesson. Then,
depending on the week, students practice what they have been learning with games
against their peers, fun variant chess games, solving puzzles, and
checkmate patterns. Sportsmanship is stressed throughout. Another theme of the
class is thinking about our actions and making good choices. This is open to all skill
levels and we will adjust our lessons based on the class. You can add on a 1 year
gold membership to chesskid.com for $20.00 (Regularly $49.00). This has some
great tools for students looking to improve and practice with their peers. They
would also be added to our group, which gives access to our practice tournaments.

Price: $70.00 for the 5 week session.
