Information Session: What is Digital Wellness?
As a parent, you are undoubtedly familiar with the phenomena of mindless phone pickups,
endless scrolling, and the complexity of managing screentime for kids (from YouTube to
gaming!).
Perhaps you’ve tried screentime curfews, app timers, bribes and more! Unfortunately, these
solutions often only last a short time leaving parents with feelings of concern, guilt,
helplessness, or anger related to screen use.
This (optional) information session is for parents who want to learn more about Digital Wellness,
before registering their kids (grades 4-7) for upcoming workshops.
Riz Vazir from Scroll By Choice will share more information about the latest research on impacts
of excessive screentime and how kids can be empowered with strategies beyond putting the
