Snoqualmie Elementary Fall Chess Class

All About Chess is excited to be hosting a chess class on Wednesdays this fall at Snoqualmie Elementary. We will meet after school from 3:40pm-4:40pm in the Multi-Purpose Room. A typical class begins with a practice game followed by a focused lesson. Then, depending on the week, students practice what they have been learning with games against their peers, fun variant chess games, solving puzzles, and checkmate patterns. Sportsmanship is stressed throughout. Another theme of the class is thinking about our actions and making good choices. You can add on a 1 year gold membership to chesskid.com for $20.00 (Regularly $49.00). This has some great tools for students looking to improve and practice with their peers. They would also be added to our group, which gives access to our practice tournaments.
