AAC In Person Half Day Chess/ Half Day Board Games and Deck Building Camp
We will begin the day with a half day chess camp. We will tailor the chess camp to the student's skill levels and will break up the camp between lessons and activities and a tournament round with analysys. In the camps, the more advanced groups will explore some of the deeper ideas and lessons that are a little harder to do in a group class including going into more depth on openings and end games. Newer students will look at the basics of the opening and endgame as well as learning tactics and other chess strategies. We will do a practice tournament throughout the week with an award ceremony at the end of the week.
After lunch we will play a variety of different games from classic board games and strategy games. We will also play different deck builder games including Magic the Gathering. Students will get to create their own Magic the Gathering card deck that they can keep at the end of camp.
