AAC Half Day Chess Half Day Coding Camp. 12/30- 1/3. 4 Day Camp. Not Meeting 1/1

AAC is excited to offer half day Chess half day Coding camps this winter. We will start the day with a half day chess camp.   

We will tailor the chess camp to the student's skill levels and will break up the camp between lessons and activities. and a tournament round with analysys. In the camps, the more advanced groups will explore some of the deeper ideas and lessons that are a little harder to do in a group class including going into more depth on openings and end games. Newer students will look at the basics of the opening and endgame as well as learning tactics and other chess strategies.

After lunch students will do a coding class. Students will get introduced to coding through BitzBox where they will get an account and work through coding activities throughout the week. This is for students new to coding so no experience is necessary. The curriculum is designed for kids and teaches them step by step as they learn to code throughout the week.
