Mid Winter Break Camps

AAC is excited to offer half day Chess half day Board Games camps this Mid Winter break. We will start the day with Chess camp then Board Games.   

We will tailor the chess camp to the student's skill levels and will break up the camp between lessons and activities. and a tournament round with analysys. In the camps, the more advanced groups will explore some of the deeper ideas and lessons that are a little harder to do in a group class including going into more depth on openings and end games. Newer students will look at the basics of the opening and endgame as well as learning tactics and other chess strategies.

After lunch students will do Board Games. In the Board Game camp we will do a number of critical thinking board games including for more advanced students a  Magic the Gathering Draft. All participants will get to take home their Magic deck at the end of the week.
